Tern Vektron S10 vs Brompton C Electric: Real-World Folding eBike Comparison

I bought Vektron s10 a few weeks ago. It’s amazing. Ride, control, scope, I can’t talk enough about it. The most important part is that it can be folded and stored in the apartment stored in the corner.

There were two problems with my use.

  1. I didn’t want to work every day because it was bulky and heavy compared to Brompton, but it was difficult to climb up and down the stairs to the apartment on the second floor. I am 5 “7” and there is no good way to move it. Full size bikes can be carried that way by placing the bar on a stand, but Vektron is not good at first because the frame is low, putting too much weight on the elbow joint. Maybe it’s not something you can do every day.

  2. It is big enough to think that it is not comfortable to bring to a store or bar compared to Brompton. So I locked it with hiplok d1000 and brought the battery with me. It’s not a big problem, but I don’t want to lock it for a long time or overnight.

So I ordered Brompton C electricity. This would be better suited to your daily activities. You can go to work two miles back and forth, meet friends at the bar, and come inside. (I sold my car and the funds will get both this and Vektron and the savings from insurance and gas can actually save money) are more portable in the current situation. We are not worried about technical problems and are purchasing new products as a guarantee.

The Vektron is fun and comfortable to carry a substantial load with a longer ride. I love it so much and I don’t want to return it because I can see it being used regularly, not every day.

Two different great bikes for different purposes.

Vektron is a much better electric bike and still fantastic folding bike. The Brompton is as small as a folding bicycle but not an electric bicycle. But you will enjoy both. To raise the staircase, press the button at the bottom of the Purion display and then press the + button on the Purion and use Work Assist mode, which is accessible at the assist level. You’ll want to equip yourself with easy equipment like riding a bike up a hill. Maybe there aren’t many steps to get into my seat, but bikes are more than 70 pounds and are not strong enough to climb the stairs without walking assistance, but they rarely do much work. You’re getting used to flying bigger stairs, but it’s much easier.

You can’t talk to Brompton, but Tern customer service is fantastic. They have helped many customers in jam even when they are not needed and the warranty is very fantastic and after carrying the cargo in GSD I actually wanted one but I modified it at least to wisely want the handlebar but it is not my fault of the bicycle.

I’m glad I got both. It’s always a good solution. N + 1 is the correct equation!

I was in the e-bike market and gave up Tern Vektron for that reason (but there is already Brompton, not electricity). “Faint” when folded.

It is recommended to use the Brompton brand front bag (which appears to be present on the electric Brompton) or the bag that fits on the front mount. When in the store, the bike can continue to access the bag when it is in “trolley mode” (everything unfolds except the handlebar).

The electric bromine will actually be awesome. It’s surprisingly small when you take the battery bag out of the front. Too ingenious for me. Still, a beautiful dream.

If I hadn’t disturbed the children…

I received an electric Brompton today. I haven’t burned it for too long, but my initial take is that the front hub doesn’t feel like a mid drive and it’s confusing. Maybe you should get used to it. I think we should start. Not bad, but compared to Tern Bosch motors and systems, the Bosch is much more sophisticated and doesn’t need to think about anything. Instinctive from day one. In addition to being able to change the mode from the display controller to your fingers, your favorite speedometer display from the swallow gull is also missing.
I think Brompton should instead team up with Bosch, which was the best e-bike.
But the swallow seagulls need Brommie attached to the desk at work. I will probably use Vektron for work and everything else.

It seems that Brompton was going to release a mid-mini a few years ago, but they abandoned that concept and went with the front hubbie instead. FME, a front motor feels odd at first, but it’s fantastic after a few rides. About eight years have passed since my first “e” was one, and it’s still going strong—albeit in Las Vegas with my daughter.

Bump this old thread to see how Bikerdrummer matches both folders. Or if he sold one of them or went to the other.

Brompton looks like a folder with an electric boost option that can easily remain at home. Then there’s Brompton left, but it’s a little heavier than usual.

I found out that there are many Brompton Electrics to sell to Brompton Renewed. No one in America seems to want them. (It is probably related to 15.5mph restrictions)

We currently have Lectric XP Lite for your posting folder. It was only $800 in light, and it cruised happily at 14-16mph. In the dark, it weighs the same as Vektron, is slow, has a single speed, and still weighs the same.
