Resale Worth of DIY-Converted E-Bikes?

I am thinking about selling an electric bicycle, but I do not know how much a reasonable and fair price is. Canondale mountain bike wind refurbishment cars (not exactly mountain bikes, but mountain bike windmills that are suitable for running on Twipas, etc.) are fitted with Woosh 48V TSDZ2 kits and Woosh bag batteries (put in waterproof boxes and stored in trunk bags).

The kit has been a few years, but it still works perfectly. The hole switch failed and the motor had to be replaced (in the unit provided by Woosh). Replacing the switch itself was a bit troublesome. The battery is in very good condition and well maintained.

I just stopped using my bike. In the end, I only used it for shopping and going to the pub, but now I feel better and I retired, so I decided to let go of the space because it was not difficult to climb the big slope nearby by analog bike.

There are some abrasions on the bike, but chains, cassettes and chain rings are less wear and functional. The rack and girdress are diverted from another bicycle and are slightly damaged. The trunk bag contains a battery box.

The cassette is 11-34T and the chain ring is made of shimano 34T (not the original TSDZ2 chain ring). This ensures the maximum speed and improves climbing performance. 650B wheel.

Please let us know your opinion on the appropriate price.

The photo was not attached at first… I’m wondering if it’s worth selling at the moment, so I haven’t posted it on classifieds yet. Perhaps this bike will not sell very high and may leave it on hand as a reserve/emergency use… Another option is to disassemble the kit and sell the bike and equipment separately?

The best advice for newcomers here is to buy cheap used bikes and add kits on Facebook Marketplace and eBay. The specific amount is often not specified, but usually less than $200.

The kit may be worth half the price of the new product, but the battery is only valuable locally. It is because there is no way of mailing and delivering home to individuals economically and legally because of hazardous goods regulations.

Perhaps the bike will be left on hand and the kit will be exhibited at the auction site (it may be higher than I expected). The battery is a local advertising medium, and it would be reasonable to sell at about half the new price.

I feel sympathy for doubts! If I were on the buyer side, I would still doubt. The ideal is that someone actually does a long test ride on a real car. I was expecting around £400 for the whole motorcycle, but looking at the Woosh site, it seems to be down from the price I paid. Or maybe it’s my memory. The kit with bag battery is £470. So if you add a bicycle fee to that half price, the price of the finished car of 400 pounds may not be so different. I wonder if I’ll try it for about 375 pounds. I can not move with a bicycle. If you look at other things, there are a coke blacksmith’s furnace, a 6-ton fly press (Evri will definitely be pleased), a huge leg vice, and many other heavy and oversized things.

I don’t see new bikes, but the price of electric bikes is down overall? Honestly, I feel that other than Woosh is too expensive, but I know that bicycle manufacturers are in trouble. In my understanding, the store does not sell analog mountain bikes at all. Everyone who pays four digits to MTB expects a motor. Personally, MTB is analog and satisfied, and all of our friends who ride mountain bikes together are analog.

I think it’s a conclusion. Persuaded by his wife, BM, it would be better to use the ugly bicycle of Cannondale as it is and ride more. To be honest, this bicycle is rather practical when you want to go from point A to point B in winter with bad weather. It is a very functional but quite boring bike.

It is quite a fine garage!

In the mid-drive market, there are more high-performance models at the same price range, and large-scale discounts on previous year models are frequently seen. And the advantage is that full warranty is attached.

Hardtails with motors and 625Wh batteries above the Bosch Performance Line will not exceed 2,000 pounds.

If you don’t need the money, give the bike to your family, friends, and neighbors who can use it to thank you.

I can’t make money, but the “good sensitivity” from important people will increase greatly.

Nobody appreciates that bike as much as you do.

When considering used and modified cars, I assumed that the battery was lifetime or near lifetime, and reflected that point in the price and bid price.

It’s a good point. I want to give a medal, but I don’t mean it because I don’t have a chest.

I’ll do this. Attach down tube battery. Roll the battery and frame with gaffa tape and hide until the battery is invisible. The rack is replaced with a large platform. The size of a 500 mm cube box is ideal. Download the OSF and set the current and speed to the maximum and park near the largest local hotel. The bicycle must be marked “on sale.” To check for a suitable hotel, you can see whether an electric bicycle with a large blue box on the back is frequently coming and going. If you don’t see it, try one big hotel after another until you succeed. If you don’t get stolen, you can sell pretty quickly.

If you have retired for health reasons but still cannot receive a pension, you will always be able to use coins for beer. No one in the family is interested in the bike, and all the friends who ride the bike are not related to the electric assist bicycle. Most of them are serious about long-distance cycling and mountain biking.

I’m going to try it out somewhere, but it’s not a big problem even if it doesn’t sell at a reasonable price.

you have a lot of bicycles
You can only ride one at a time.

We use Trek hybrids for daily travel and mountain bikes for hobbies. Folding bicycle should also let go…

Although it is a little news, if you try to exhibit some electric bicycle parts (such as brake lever and crank arm) in the Frima app, it is no longer allowed for individual sellers. I don’t necessarily think the limit itself is bad. By the way, the used electric bicycle battery seems to be completely prohibited. Even if you intend to sell a bicycle, the Frima app is clearly not a suitable place.

Is it because it is an electric bike rather than a bicycle? Since many parts are used in common with both, the notation omitting “e” will not be misleading.

Uh, folding bicycles sold. I think I will go to the good owner. It was taken this morning.

For electric assisted bicycles, I would like to test some kind of power meter that I had never bought before and connected. Is it interesting to see how much Wh the battery actually supplies? I never used up the battery until the LV cutoff, and to be honest, the ride starts to get worse.

Okay, some kind of result. The day left a little late, packed with huge panias loaded with boxed laptops for mailing. Start with full charge. I checked my luggage at 4 miles and removed the Pania at 25 miles during the loop running past my home. At about 33 miles, the battery consumes 48V and 255Wh. Because the main purpose was Wh measurement, it deliberately slowed the cutoff at low speed running while loading the motor. After that… it is approaching a steep slope around 36 miles, the power of the motor clearly weakens. I felt a little anxious, so I supplemented it with manpower. In the end, the worry was useless. I went home 40 miles and tried some small and steep slopes. Although it is later than the new product, I climbed up without sweat. I finished the experiment at 46.5 miles. Battery voltage at pause is 45.79V. Power consumption is 341.4 Wh. The minimum voltage drops to 44.31V. Maximum output recorded 582W.

In theoretical terms, the battery capacity is 10Ah (48V in 480Wh), but it is impossible to achieve in actual running due to the influence of sag. I finished the experiment when I consumed 341Wh while continuing to climb the steep slope. Actual mileage depends on bicycle, speed, rider, slope, etc. If you try a little more by yourself, 60 miles (about 96 km) can be easily achieved. If it is 40 miles (about 64km), I can run easily.

The 2kW main power panel heater is a load suitable for 36V or 48V batteries when you want to set the voltage low and maximize battery capacity. If low voltage cutoff (LVC) is not reliable, monitoring is necessary, and it is desirable practice to install a fuse in the circuit, as with any electrical experiment.
