I’m also tryyying to get my cat.2 upgrade this year, though it’s gonna be a stretch.
I will definitely be competing in the local track league every Wednesday. At least as far as possible.
And as much as we can realistically (money and mobility), we will also participate in as many circuit races as we can.
I want to win at least one track event. I’ve trained with my opponents, so I think it’s going to be a match!
In the first year of his race debut, the result was disastrous in the first round, but he finally won his first victory a few weeks earlier this year. Everything is learned! My goal this year is to get into the top 10 and get a podium. I want to make an effective escape (one that doesn’t necessarily win, but that does a lot of physical, mental, and tactical damage to the group) a success if possible. I’m going to race a few times a month, but I’m going to try as many races as I can.

You need to play with the system a little bit. Category 3 was acquired by a discretionary progression. If you don’t move up to Category 2, you won’t be eligible. So I’m looking forward to it. There are points, but to qualify for the Panam Trial, you may need to ask for another discretionary increase or a little more points.
I think you should be able to get only points. I got 31 points in about three months (the new rule is 30 points, right?).
Yes, but you will need to upgrade by early June. Basically, you plan to show that you’re headed in that direction, get a temporary Category 2 to qualify, and then go back to Category 3 to get the remaining points.

Thank you. I’ve been practicing on my own since I quit swimming in February, and this is really fun. I met a few local junior players yesterday and they were all really good. Good luck, too. I wish we had a junior stage race in our area.
