The latest model “Kudos Eiger” mountain style bike will be exhibited and test drive (reservation required) at the NEC cycle show held this week (September 26-29, booth number D54).
The TCM crank drive motor, which boasts powerful torque (60Nm), can cause chains to be caught when moving at the time of climbing. This is a unique problem for bicycles that combine a crank drive and a deraillean gearbox, and although it can be mitigated with a “soft start” controller, it will damage the momentum of climbing.
By combining the Nuvinci 360 hub with the TCM crank drive motor, the speed change in the uphill becomes surprisingly smooth. It is an ideal combination for riders seeking a quiet and comfortable running and a powerful and reliable transmission system, and the speed change in the uphill is as simple as tuning the radio.
Climbing torque at the lowest gear ratio is very impressive, even tired feet can climb steep slope.
The Santur XCT front fork, Tectro Auriga e-comp hydraulic disc brake and Samsung LiMno 4 battery are also available. The price is reasonable at £1495, and as far as we know, it is the most expensive car with crank drive + Nuvinch hub.
Bicycle under 1500 pounds, looks good! I hope they work well.
I am interested in how 60Nm torque feels through hub gear.
We will go to the exhibition on Saturdays and Sundays, so let’s meet and talk. I might finally run around a bit;)
Thank you.
If you are not able to participate in this event and think that it is not far to extend to Hampton Wick (Kingston, Surrey), we will soon prepare a test drive demonstrator Eiger and a few in stock. Please call us if you are planning to visit. Prepare your bike and wait.
Do you have a photo of Eiger? I couldn’t find it on the website… I wanted to try it. I’m in NEC Sat right now, but I wanted to go to an electric bike shop in Saleh. A few bikes are in stock over there… What next?
Hi can you still buy the mid drive motor for these
When I gug the bike name, it looks like a TCM motor. would they help us?
If it is impossible, what is old and not common is probably not worth the effort.
