I recently bought one and wanted to know how it compares to the market for those who spend $2500 or less.
It doesn’t matter right now. You’ve already purchased it. Research should have been done before purchasing it, but once you do, you are trapped with it until you choose to look at something else and understand the limitations of those kinds of mopeds.
Hello, Clark Your name accurately describes you. I completed my research, so I’m not trapped with it. Perhaps try having smarter conversations in the future.
If you want a heavy fat tired bike and know how it works. I think Velotric will make you very happy. For $1999, you can put a good bike part like tires, derailers, brakes, seats and shifters at a relatively low price. We’re getting a UL test battery with high quality cells. The motor is a motor. There is not much magic in making them. a dito for wheels/spokes. There is a choice of riding a torque sensor or cadence sensor. You have to be fine.
Many people in this forum came from various intensity of cycling backgrounds. Riders, who have worked hard to spend a big time riding regular bicycles, get a little sense of how electricity becomes easier. I like bicycles. I like motors, but I own fat tire bikes, which are too heavy and too much for my work. So I amuse them when I see them riding on the suburban bike path, but their owners can get the same fresh air and tranquility as I get. They may also be riding snow or mud when at home.
You can buy $699 Mukkapuppet or smething like that, the battery will wear out in 6 months. The screw will loosen. It could have been much worse than Velotric. Congratulations and good luck with customer service.
Many thanks, Doc
