In the race, the winner was 7 seconds faster. TT is a really interesting competition… When you are able to make a difference, you recall the scenes of overtaking, running on rough roads, and mentally weak moments. And I think I was cut down seven seconds on that run. Next, be sure! Most importantly, I was able to update my self-record with both power and time. The wind was strong and many riders reported that it was in slow condition. Because it was the first race in a new position, it is difficult to judge yourself.
I’m looking forward to the next TT!
It may be the strangest podium I’ve ever seen. There is no top stage, and the third place player is dressed as if he stopped by the church.
Perhaps Tmonk will be able to see if the player who finished third on the podium actually entered the race. I have seen a case where a substitute plays instead of a player who leaves on the way.
It was a great race, TMonk. I just returned from 10 days of skiing on Friday, and the TT (time trial) on Sunday was mentally impossible. I ran Fiesta on Sunday when the island reopened. Why don’t triathletes want to improve their TT skills at this event? In the past, there were race friends from Orange County and LA. From Merck to ITT, TTT, Junior to Paracyclist, there are various categories and distance options, so it should be sold out.
He didn’t just change clothes. It looks like I went home and took a shower.
I’ve changed my clothes before the podium photo - - even at national competitions. I didn’t want to sit in a uniform for a few hours and wait for the award, and when I was ready, it was troublesome to change into a uniform again. (It was a bit bad.)
In any case, it was a great race at TT and Tour de Murietta. I realized that the first race of the season was always a bit unstable even if I was training firmly at home.
Finally, watch out for the numbness of your hands. Only one hand? Both hands? I had the same symptoms, so that I could not hold the handle after a while. He was diagnosed with carpal canal syndrome and underwent surgery last fall. We plan to check the effect this summer.
Thank you. The numbness of the hand occurred in both hands, and I think it is due to the new gloves I tried. It was okay to ride without gloves on Sunday.
Mall field, but here it is mostly small. There were 50 + 1-3 or 3-4 options. I seriously thought that both of them would achieve good results. 20 hours of training per week, the body fat percentage dropped to 11%, and the power figures were very good. After all, I chose 3/4 class. I just want to win the race someday. Most people don’t. There are only 4 contestants. One of them shouted “calm down and run.” I did not understand the meaning, but I realized that the biggest enemy was downhill, and I agreed. However, I climbed the last 10 miles. So I wasn’t going to slow down.
Two people fall out when entering the climbing section. One rider had 30 seconds left, but he was almost caught up in danger because he was careful in the flat section between the climbs. In the end, he won by a few cars.
Zwift has similar experiences. It’s a 28-mile race that includes a big climb in the second half. A small group of people agreed to run together in the first half, but they fell apart completely on the climb. He saw off the players who fled early, kept his pace and finished in third place. It was my first podium.
In the real world, he has not been on the podium for a long time.
Good win, FF! it takes 20 hours a week! it’s really awesome! Well done. I’ve been around 8-10 hours lately. I don’t know if this is enough, but let’s see what happens to the season. Over 35 years old 1-3 is really tough in our district!
The frustrating part of this sport is that 99% of athletes have a wall. In Southern California, players who dominated a category rise to the top and face reality. Around 2018? Two athletes won almost alternately in the fourth class category, hiding their abilities until they were kicked out of the category. After 10 races in P123 class and finishing in 10th place, I realized that I could not win the Williams brothers and other Criterium players, and I quit the bicycle race (laughs). Running, triathlon and team sports have secondary goals that can be achieved. 50/50 Sports (1-1) are seeded until winning, triathlon and running have self-best and respected times (e.g. sub-3 marathons). But bicycle racing is only a point, a podium, a win (real top 5). Masters has no special seed system since Category 2. That’s why I’m really frustrated if I don’t stand on the podium.
SCNCA will have five super talented players and two 49-year-olds at the age of 50 or more next year. One of them participated in the Redlands Classic as a professional last year. This is one of the factors that drives people away from this sport. Everyone (except me) was able to anticipate the results of the Blvd, and I also know where Chula Vista is.
As a niche climber, I can still slip into the Category 3 race by age, so I will stand on the podium. In Pine Flat, I also made the fastest climbing time by my age. Certainly I ran in the 3/4 category, but if I appeared in the 123 category, I would not have been able to climb in a fresh state.
Yeah, the level here is really high. There are several star athletes and top classes in every race.
Talented is always in the middle zone and is located between the top players and other players. If you are in the best condition, you can fight and produce results. When Liz was pregnant, 2023 was a great season. Since then, I have struggled to regain the amount of practice and leg strength necessary to really participate in the championship. Still, I keep trying!
